2001 -2002 Music Video Question..?

I think it was in 2001 or 2002.. I saw this song on vh1 that i really liked..I don't really know what the lyrics are but i remember the Video had like a clay animation theme..Where there was a bunch of Clay people..or aliens working hard at what looked like an embly line and this mean looking one would oversee them...Then towards the end one of the workers creates an invention using the glowing thing inside his chest......then all the people praise him for his invention...he then becomes the overseer but it shows him sad because when he goes to his room and opens his chest his glowing thing is missing........Sorry for the vague description...its all i can remember......Ohh it was a dude that was singing and it seemed that it was more of a rock song...but not heavy...
