I know how annoying these sorts of questions are... but does he like me?

or is he just being nice? I'm a freshman girl. He's a senior guy. One of the hottest guys in our school... And one of the nicest guys i know. We know each other because we were on the wrestling team this winter, at the time he had been in a relationship w/ our manager. They recently broke up. A couple days previous to that, he had been talking to me, when he found out i had broken up w/ my boyfriend we just continued our conversation, but then a few minutes later he said "wow, im just really surprised that you're still single you're a really pretty girl. and that was that. I've talked to him a couple times on msn, but dont talk to him much in school (his group of friends intimidates me) then the other day he dropped one of our other friends off at baseball practice, while i was at track. he parked his truck watched practice for a bit and then left w/ the other friend to watch baseball practice. when i got home and got on msn he was like "why didnt you answer my text :(" i told him my phone was broken and he was like "oh damn that sucks, i was going to ask you if you'd wanted to hang out after practice but you didnt answer :( i was like, oh sorry. he was like nah its ok. we talked about nothing for a few minutes, then he said "you know i hate bringing this up because its none of my business but you really shouldnt be hanging around andre... i was like, yea i know hes retarded and hes a druggie but i dont want to be mean and tell him to leave me alone. and then he said "well then be mean, you're a really pretty girl and i know you well from wrestling and you're nice and i know you can do a lot better than that there are a lot of guys that like you, weather or not you want to believe me" then later on he asked me if i liked anybody in particular, and i told him no not really. he said oh... then said he was bored. we both agreed that there was nothing to do cause it was too late and he said well i have webcam, but im really tired so yea. and then i had to go. My friends think he likes me, i think hes just being nice. What do you think??
