Will American politics ever get over the hump of phrases and just think like Europeans do -- freedom to choose?

I've lived in Europe also (France from 2000 to 2003), and while far from perfect and inferior to America in some aspects, there are things that they do better than us: one of which is having several viable political parties. Just b/c someone admires a certain facet of life in a particular European nation does not mean that he is willing to abandon the American way entirely. Also, only ignorant people adopt the "love-it-or-leave-it" posturing. Admiration of a particular aspect of a foreign nation does not equal hatred of one's birth nation. Also, why do you people think that other countries just have open immigration where unhappy Americans can just show up and get a work permit? That's the height of ignorance.
